Our Story
There are plenty of dining options in Lombard. You may be wondering “What makes this fast casual restaurant stand out?” The answer: The People! My name is Andy Papandreou and I own and operate the very first Simple Greek in Illinois! I am local to the area, growing up just miles from our location. Though I was raised close by, I was born in Athens, Greece. Greek food is near and dear to my heart. Greek cuisine makes me nostalgic. It reminds me of traditions, celebrations, friends, family and good health.
After 30 years, I decided to leave my corporate job. I was ready. I have always craved the freedom of owning my own business. I knew I wanted to invest in something that would not only make me happy but would bring joy to others. I was ready to follow my passion for entrepreneurship and for food!
Our Mission
Our goal is to bring the joys of Greek cuisine to the community. The Simple Greek Lombard team is also excited to share the restaurant’s success with our neighborhood. We are thrilled to bring delicious, fresh, and healthy food to you and your family!
Our location originally opened during the height of the pandemic in mid-March. Within a week, with a heavy heart, we decided to suspend operations to keep our employees and our community safe. The good news?!We have reopened and are excited to provide a unique and delicious dining experience. Our community has been immensely supportive during this unprecedented time. It is our mission to return the favor and give back!
