The worst part of the Pensacola Greek Festival is when it ends. There’s nothing like sinking your teeth into a gyro and finishing your meal with a generous serving of baklava.
Now, you don’t have to wait until next October to get your fix. A new restaurant, The Simple Greek, is providing Pensacola with one more option in Greek cuisine.
“I think the Greek market is untapped,” Simple Greek Franchise Owner Reggie Bruster said. “We wanted to really refine the process with fresh ingredients and homemade products.”
Located at 7175 N. Davis Highway, Suite J, in Pensacola, The Simple Greek recently held its grand opening celebration.
“It went really well,” Bruster said. “We were able to feed more than 400 people.”
Leading up to the grand opening, hundreds of people came to soft opening events earlier in the week.
“It’s been a really good week,” Bruster said. “People are telling their friends about us and people keep coming through our doors.”
For Bruster, who also owns Signal 88 Security, opening in Pensacola was a no-brainer.
“I grew up in Pensacola,” Bruster said. “I believe in Pensacola. Pensacola, to me, was a natural fit. Opening The Simple Greek gives me an opportunity to continue giving back to the community.”
The Simple Greek is open seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
